So I recently had a blast participating in Craftster’s “One Tiny Harry Potter Thing” swap. My partner said she liked Minerva McGonnagall, so I decided to make her quill / pencil cup.
Since Professor McGonnagall is the head of Gryffindor house, I put a Gryffindor crest on the front of the cup. Since she is Scottish, I trimmed the edge of the cup with plaid. And since she teaches Transfiguration…
it transforms into a cat! (Kind of a grumpy-looking cat, but hey — you might be grumpy, too, if you spent most of your time squashed down inside a pencil cup!)
This swap was great fun, and my partner, Jennie sent me some lovely Gryffindor jewelry in exchange for the kitty-cup. Thanks, Jennie! And hope some of you out there consider doing a craft swap. It was delightful!
