I happen to have a lot of small circular pictures (created using a 1-inch craft punch). You may remember these from the bottlecap necklace project I did a while back.
I took 6 of these and made a set of magnets out of them. l had punched all of them from the same magazine illustration, so that they all had a cohesive, retro look… and similar subject matter (forest animals, many of them toting luggage!)
Basically, I followed the same steps I did before, except this time I super-glued round magnets to the back of the bottlecaps, rather than jewelry bails.
This time, I used bottlecaps purchased from a craft store (no pesky plastic part to remove, and edges fluted prettily all around) but of course you can use real bottlecaps if you prefer.
I think they are quite “attractive”!
